The invention discloses a jewelry forming method based on a traditional ceramic material. The jewelry forming method comprises the following steps: S1, preparing slurry; S2, manufacturing a female gypsum mold; S3, selecting a gauze piece or a paper towel piece, completely immersing the gauze piece or the paper towel piece into the slurry prepared in the step S1, taking out the gauze piece or the paper towel piece after the gauze piece or the paper towel piece is completely hung on the slurry, uniformly spreading the gauze piece or the paper towel piece on the female gypsum mold manufactured in the step S2, removing air holes to be tightly attaching the gauze piece or the paper towel piece to the female gypsum mold, placing the female gypsum mold in a natural environment for drying in the shade, taking down a formed mud blank after the gauze piece or the paper towel piece is completely dried, trimming the edge of the mud blank, and polishing the surface of the mud blank to form a ceramic mud blank with a smooth surface and uniform thickness; and S4, firing the ceramic mud blank into ceramic. The method has the beneficial effects of high controllability, high plasticity and capability of preparing light and thin jewelry.
