The invention relates to a road finisher (1) comprising a tractor (3) and a screed (5) hinged to the tractor (3) so as to be pulled behind the tractor (3). A main control platform (11) of the road finisher (1) is arranged at the tractor (3), provides space for operators and comprises an operation controller (13) for controlling the functions of the road finisher (1). The main control platform (11) has a ceiling (15), wherein a lighting unit (17) with a light source (21) is arranged on the ceiling (15). The lighting unit (17) includes a housing (19) that accommodates a light source (21) and has a reflector (27). The reflector (27) is configured to reflect light emitted by the light source (21) into the working area (A) of the screed (5), thereby indirectly illuminating the working area (A) of the screed (5).
