The invention relates to an indoor wall body decoration structure and an installing method thereof. The indoor wall body decoration structure comprises a plurality of decoration plates located at the front side of a wall body, wherein inserting plates are fixedly connected to the side walls, right against the wall body, of the decoration plates; a plurality of groups of vertically-opposite fixing plates are fixed to the front side of the wall body; the inserting plates are inserted between the two vertically-opposite fixing plates; a plurality of fixing grooves are formed in the inserting plate; a fixing spring is fixed in each fixing groove; a fixing block is slidably connected into each fixing groove; the end surface, located in the fixing groove, of each fixing block is fixed to one end of the fixing spring; the side walls, right against the inserting plates, of the fixing plates are provided with a plurality of clamping grooves communicating with different fixing grooves; when the fixing springs are in a natural state, the fixing blocks are simultaneously positioned in the fixing grooves and the clamping grooves; the side walls, right against the wall body, of the fixing blocks in the clamping grooves incline in the direction leaving far away from the fixing springs; and each decoration plate is provided with a dismounting assembly used for enabling all the fixing blocks on the corresponding insertion plate to be separated from the corresponding clamping groove. The indoor wall body decoration structure and the installing method provided by the invention achieve the effects that the installing efficiency of the decoration plates is higher, and the dismounting and the replacement are convenient.
