The invention provides a manufacturing method and application of a lead-free silicon-based ionizing radiation shielding material, belonging to the field of basic materials. The invention aims to recombine a shielding material of an anti-radiation material. The anti-radiation material manufactured by using a modified silicon-based material has the characteristics of high radiation-proof performance, high strength, impact resistance, high corrosion resistance, stable size, safety, harmlessness and aging resistance. According to the invention, a finished product which has good physical and chemical properties, extremely high radiation shielding performance, corrosion resistance, no toxicity, no attenuation, high strength and impact resistance is prepared by selecting materials including sodium silicate, calcium chloride, calcium sulfate, neodymium iron boron, bismuth oxide, barium sulfate, magnesium fluosilicate, a defoaming agent, calcium oxide and an anti-aging agent and conducting silicon-based modification.
