The invention relates to the technical field of steel structure buildings, in particular to a steel column structure and a column top connecting structure thereof. The steel column structure comprises steel column bodies; the multiple sections of steel column bodies are spliced through connecting assemblies to obtain a steel column; a supporting assembly is arranged at the bottom end of the steel column; a mounting assembly is arranged at the top end of the steel column; the supporting assembly comprises a base arranged at the bottom end of the steel column; and the mounting assembly comprises a connecting base arranged at the top end of the steel column. According to the steel column structure and the column top connecting structure thereof, under the combined action of the connecting assemblies, the mounting assemblies and the supporting assemblies, detachable splicing of the steel column structure is achieved, the mounting stability of the steel column structure is guaranteed, meanwhile, construction of workers is facilitated, and the working efficiency of the workers is guaranteed.
