The invention discloses a gate height control device using a multi-turn potentiometer. The gate height control device comprises a gate, a connecting piece and a driving piece, one end of the connecting piece obtains power through the driving piece, the other end of the connecting piece is fixedly connected with the gate, and therefore the gate is driven to ascend and descend; a potentiometer is arranged on one side of the connecting piece, and a control module is arranged between the potentiometer and the driving piece; and the potentiometer converts the motion of the connecting piece into a voltage signal and outputs the voltage signal to the control module, and the control module performs potential acquisition and analysis inside and then makes a judgment so as to control start and stop of the driving piece and further control the opening degree of ascending or descending of the gate. Compared with a common encoder for controlling the height of the gate, the gate height control device using the multi-turn potentiometer is simple in structure, low in cost and low in requirements for installation and debugging technologies, is particularly suitable for stroke and height control of the water conservancy gate, and has important application and popularization value in the field of water conservancy industry, especially in the aspect of gate opening degree detection.
