The invention relates to the field of aluminum alloy handrails, in particular to a light hollow aluminum alloy handrail and a manufacturing method thereof. The method comprises the following steps of selecting material, specifically, selecting a proper aluminum alloy material and removing impurities; smelting, heating the aluminum alloy material until the aluminum alloy material is molten; molding, pouring an aluminum alloy material into the handrail mold and molding; quenching, specifically, performing quenching treatment on the surface of the aluminum alloy handrail; and grinding, specifically, grinding and polishing the surface of the aluminum alloy handrail. According to the handrail and the manufacturing method thereof, the hollow handrail is generated, the weight is reduced, and meanwhile the strength of the handrail is improved.
