The automobile electric tail door lock structurally mainly comprises a gear reduction transmission chain component, a lock body component, a bottom plate, an outer cover and the like, wherein the gear transmission chain component comprises a one-stage worm gear, a two-stage planetary gear and a two-stage gear reduction component; the lock body component mainly comprises a second sector gear, a third sector gear with a lock hook and a jacking claw; during unlocking, after the output torque of a motor is subjected to five-stage speed reduction, a shifting rod extending out of a first sector gear is driven to to shift the jacking claw, so that the jacking claw is separated from the lock hook, an opening of the lock hook is downward under the action of a torsion spring, and a lock body is opened; and when a tail door is closed, a lock rod on an automobile trunk collides with the lock hook of the third sector gear to enable the third sector gear to rotate anticlockwise, the jacking claw abuts against the lock hook under the action of the torsion spring, the tail door lock enters a semi-locking state, then the motor is started to drive the first sector gear to rotate clockwise, after a boss on the first sector gear is tightly attached to the side face of the second sector gear, the motor is stopped, and reliable locking is realized.
