The invention provides a quick recovery device for sunken ship liquid cargoes and a recovery method thereof. The device comprises a disengaging device composed of a sunken ship liquid cargo quick recovery valve and a butt joint quick connector, wherein the sunken ship liquid cargo quick recovery valve is arranged at the position of a liquid cargo tank of a liquid cargo ship, the two ends of the butt joint quick connector communicate with the sunken ship liquid cargo quick recovery valve and a rescue ship liquid cargo recovery pipeline correspondingly, and the butt joint quick connector is connected to an underwater mechanical arm. Quick butt joint and disengagement of the butt joint quick connector and the sunken ship liquid cargo quick recovery valve are operated through the underwater mechanical arm; during butt joint, the liquid cargo tank and the rescue ship liquid cargo recovery pipeline are connected, so that quick recovery of the sunken ship liquid cargos is achieved; and return springs are arranged inside the sunken ship liquid cargo quick recovery valve and the butt joint quick connector correspondingly, the butt joint quick connector is automatically and quickly disengaged from the sunken ship liquid cargo quick recovery valve under the action of the underwater mechanical arm when unclear severe conditions are met in deep sea work, and after disengagement, the sunken ship liquid cargo quick recovery valve and the butt joint quick connector are sealed autonomously under the action of the return springs of the sunken ship liquid cargo quick recovery valve and the butt joint quick connector.
