The present invention relates to a controller for opening a door panel of a motor vehicle, and the controller comprises a housing intended to be mounted on a door panel; a handle mounted to be movable relative to the housing between at least a flush position, in which the handle is entirely or partially accommodated in the housing, and an ejected position, in which the handle at least partially protrudes from the housing, and configured to operate a door lock; a lock cylinder adjacent to the handle to lock and unlock the door lock; and a shutter hinged to the housing and configured to cover the lock cylinder, being flush with the handle and exposing the lock cylinder when the shutter is manually operated. The shutter is hinged about an axis of rotation extending at a distance greater than or equal to 10 mm relative to a side edge of the handle, and the side edge of the handle comprises a gripping means adapted to receive a member inserted between the opened shutter and the side edge of the handle, so that the handle can be manually actuated from the flush position to the pop-up position after the shutter is opened.
