The highway frame type bridge abutment comprises an abutment body used for transmitting a main beam and loads on an upper portion of the main beam to a foundation, wherein the bottom of the abutment body is connected with a bearing platform playing a role in bearing and supporting the abutment body, and the bottom of the bearing platform is connected with a pile foundation extending to the underground and used for improving stability of the bearing platform; the abutment body comprises a front abutment body which is arranged on the top of one side of the main beam and connected with an abutment cap and a back abutment body which is far away from one side of the main beam, the tops of the abutment cap and the back abutment body are connected with a rigid frame beam, ear walls are symmetrically arranged on one side, far away from the main beam, of the rigid frame beam, and a supporting beam is connected between the bearing platforms. The bridge abutment can effectively solve an arrangement problem of the bridge abutment when the expressway crosses the road with poorer geology and the municipal road, can shorten the length of the bridge, saves the manufacturing cost, and can avoid the appearance of high and large cones.
