The invention relates to a device for automatically taking water from the high position of a siphon. The device comprises a water inlet pipe, an upper bin, a lower bin, an air collection chamber, an air pipe and a check valve. After the device is connected to a pipeline in the high position of the siphon, water flows into the upper bin and the lower bin and is accumulated in the upper bin and the lower bin, after the upper bin and the lower bin are full of water, a related valve is automatically triggered to start to drain water, and automatic water taking in the high-position pipeline of the siphon is achieved. The device has the advantages of the simple structure, low manufacturing cost and easiness in installation, manual or electric intervention is not needed in the operation process, full-automatic periodic water taking is achieved, and the device is very suitable for being applied to multiple water conservancy irrigation projects.
