The invention discloses a fabricated wall surface system with wallboards capable of being transversely and vertically mounted and a mounting method thereof, and relates to the technical field of building decoration. The fabricated wall surface system comprises a plurality of fixing pieces, a plurality of wallboard mounting pieces and a plurality of wallboards; the plurality of fixing pieces are fixedly installed on a base layer wall in a rectangular array mode; each wallboard mounting piece comprises a fixed batten and a connecting batten; the inner ends of the connecting battens are connected with the outer sides of the fixed battens; the two sides of the outer ends of the connecting battens are connected with clamping battens respectively; clamping grooves are respectively formed in a pair of end surfaces on the long edge of each wallboard; the inner side of the fixed batten of each wallboard mounting piece of the plurality of wallboard mounting pieces can be transversely or vertically fixed on the outer side of a different row of fixing pieces; and the two ends of the long edge of each wallboard are clamped and fixed to the clamping battens of two adjacent wallboard mounting pieces through the clamping grooves correspondingly. The wallboards can be transversely and vertically mounted on the base layer wall.
