The invention discloses an automobile tail door supporting rod with a novel telescopic structure. The automobile tail door supporting rod comprises a sleeve, a motor and the telescopic structure connected with the output end of the motor; a first containing pipe capable of containing the motor and a second containing pipe capable of containing the telescopic structure are arranged in the sleeve, and the telescopic structure comprises a rotating rod which is arranged in the second containing pipe and is provided with a forward spiral groove and a reverse spiral groove which are communicated in an overlapped manner, a telescopic rod which is arranged on the second containing pipe in a sleeve manner, and a guide block; a sliding groove is formed in the second containing pipe in the length direction of the second containing pipe; and the guide block is arranged in the forward spiral groove and/or the reverse spiral groove in a sliding manner, and the guide block extends out of the sliding groove and is connected with the telescopic rod. By means of the structure, extension and contraction of the supporting rod can be achieved without reversing the motor, and the automobile tail door supporting rod has the advantages of being simple in structure and convenient to stretch out and draw back and meets use requirements.
