The invention discloses a large-span arched string truss system and a powder covering building. The arched string truss system comprises an arched truss (10) and a string mechanism, wherein the string mechanism comprises a string inhaul cable (20) connected to the arched truss and a supporting rod (30) supported between the arched truss (10) and the string inhaul cable (20). The arched string truss system further comprises a cable-stayed mechanism (40) connected to the arched truss (10) to provide pulling force in the anti-arch direction. The cable-stayed mechanism can provide the pulling force in the anti-arch direction for the arched truss so as to reduce deformation of the whole structure in the anti-arch direction under the air suction effect, the mechanical property of the large-span arched string truss system in the anti-arch direction is improved, and the large-span arched string truss system is especially suitable for large-span application occasions.
