The invention discloses an external wall construction method based on soft porcelain. The external wall construction method comprises the steps that firstly, an external wall is pretreated, hidden dangers are eliminated for the subsequent inlaying process, and the adverse effect of impurities and/or damage on the external wall on the subsequent process is avoided; then, line snapping positioning is conducted by combining the size of the soft porcelain, the soft porcelain is inlaid according to a positioning base line, and inlaying disorder is avoided; then gap cleaning is conducted, so that a gap between every two adjacent pieces of soft porcelain is more attractive, and inlaying is firmer; and finally, surface layer cleaning is conducted, and residues smeared on the surfaces of the soft porcelain in the inlaying process are removed.
