The guardrail is mainly composed of a base, a vertical arm and a cross beam and installed at the position, close to a roadway, of the sidewalk side, the base is provided with a buffering device, and the vertical arm is elastically connected with the base. When the cross beam is impacted by a vehicle, the vertical arm drives the top plate to rotate around the hinged shaft, and the top plate compresses the spring to buffer the impact force of the vehicle. The guardrail does not occupy the effective width of the roadway during installation, the impact force of a vehicle can be buffered through elastic connection, and damage to the vehicle and the guardrail is relieved.
