The invention discloses a novel fireproof plugging material which is prepared from the following materials: 20 to 45 parts of diethyl silicone oil, 6 to 15 parts of butyl rubber, 2 to 6 parts of pentaerythritol diphosphate melamine salt, 8 to 20 parts of diatomite, 15 to 25 parts of magnesium oxide, 30 to 45 parts of pitchstone powder, 20 to 50 parts of filler, 20 to 35 parts of aluminum hydroxide, 15 to 30 parts of flame retardant and 10 to 23 parts of carbon nanotube. The preparation method comprises the following steps: S1, weighing diethyl silicone oil, butyl rubber, diatomite, magnesium oxide and filler in proportion; s2, putting the components weighed in the step S1 into a stirrer, and mixing and stirring for 7-16 minutes; s3, adding carbon nanotubes on the basis of the step S2, and mixing and stirring; and S4, adding rosin carbon powder and a flame retardant on the basis of the step S3, and mixing and stirring. The pitchstone powder and the carbon nano tubes can keep the plasticity of the plugging material, and the plasticity is still very strong after long-time use or fire disaster, so that fireproof arrangement and layout are facilitated, and the later use and maintenance cost is also reduced.
