The invention discloses a rail transit railway ballast cleaning device which specifically comprises a bearing box, a cleaning air pump installed in the middle of the bottom of an inner cavity of a square box body, cleaning devices installed at the bottom of the inner cavity of the square box body and located on the two sides of the cleaning air pump, and a through air hole formed in the top of the square box body. The cleaning device comprises a ventilation transverse pipe, air guide pipes, steering transverse pipes and cleaning wheels, wherein the air guide pipes are located at the bottom of the outer surface of the ball head pipe body and located on the two sides of a box plate of the square box body, the steering transverse pipes are installed at the bottoms of the air guide pipes, and the cleaning wheels are installed at the ends, close to each other, of the steering transverse pipes. Through the arrangement of the cleaning air pump, the rails are cleaned through airflow, the requirement of the equipment for external conditions in the cleaning process is lowered, the application range of the equipment is widened, meanwhile, the rails are cleaned more comprehensively and thoroughly through airflow cleaning, and the phenomenon that residues are generated due to mechanical cleaning is avoided.
