The invention provides a pushing mechanism for pushing construction of a bridge or a steel structure roof. The pushing mechanism comprises a guide rail; a plurality of clamping grooves are distributed in the guide rail; an adjusting mechanism which is arranged at the upper end of the guide rail, and the adjusting mechanism and the guide rail can do linear motion relative to each other; the adjusting mechanism comprises a vertical adjusting piece, and the vertical adjusting piece is connected with a transverse adjusting piece; a steering adjusting part is arranged at the top of the vertical adjusting part; a propulsion mechanism; the propelling mechanism comprises a driving piece and a limiting block; one end of the driving piece is fixedly connected with the adjusting mechanism, and the other end is hinged with the limiting block; and the limiting block can be embedded into the clamping groove. The pushing mechanism is easy and convenient to operate, intelligent, effective, safe and stable, the height of the to-be-pushed structure can be adaptively adjusted according to the elevation of the bottom face of the bridge or the steel structure roof, the construction efficiency is greatly improved, and the labor cost is reduced.
