A left connecting rod and a right connecting rod which are symmetrical are fixedly arranged on a half-drainage button of the cover type water-saving device of a pedestal pan, the outer end of the left connecting rod and the outer end of the right connecting rod are fixedly connected with a cylindrical water distribution cover, and a left connecting rod groove and a right connecting rod groove which correspond to the left connecting rod and the right connecting rod are formed in the positions, located on the half-drainage button, of the upper end of a valve body. The device is simple in structure, easy to manufacture, low in cost and convenient to install.
