The invention discloses a multi-plate downward-pressing type track tamping device which comprises supporting structures, tamping structures and downward-pressing structures, the supporting structures are arranged on the two sides of the tamping structures, the downward-pressing structures are arranged at the center positions of the top ends of the tamping structures, guiding structures are arranged at the center positions of the downward-pressing structures, and supporting bottom frames are arranged at the bottom ends of the two sides of the bottom ends of the supporting structures correspondingly; the supporting structure is provided with an inverted-U-shaped elastic supporting frame, the bottom end of the side, away from the tamping structure, of the inverted-U-shaped elastic supporting frame is movably sleeved with a supporting limiting barrel, and a first reset spring is arranged in the center of the bottom end of the supporting limiting barrel. The device has the beneficial effects that a guide supporting column can be pushed to move downwards, a tamping supporting shell can stably descend, descending resistance of a first clamping arm and a second clamping arm can be reduced, and tightening bottom feet can rotate relatively, so that the pillow bottom is filled with gravel, the tightening bottom feet can automatically reset.
