The invention discloses a foldable chain type track which is formed by hinging unit bodies and comprises an end unit body I, a plurality of middle unit bodies and an end unit body II. Each unit body is provided with a pulley module I, a pulley module II and a rail piece; the pulley modules I on the upper sides of the end unit body I and the end unit body II are used for being connected with a suspension rope, the pulley modules I on the lower sides of the end unit body I and the end unit body II and the pulley modules I of the middle unit body are used for being connected with a traction rope I, and the pulley modules II of the end unit body I, the middle unit body and the end unit body II are used for being connected with a traction rope II. The foldable chain type track has a folded state, a U-shaped curve state and a straight line state, when the foldable chain type track is in the folded state, the length of the foldable chain type track can be greatly reduced, the foldable chain type track is convenient to transport, put and recycle, and the foldable chain type track can adapt to most situations that the distance between the bridge bottom surface and the ground or water surface below the bridge is smaller than the track length in the building and recycling process.
