The method comprises the following steps that the erecting form of an outer scaffold body is determined according to the mountain body form of a plastic stone rockery, the appearance of the scaffold body is determined according to the mountain body shape of the plastic stone rockery, if the mountain body form of the plastic stone rockery is a front slope type, the scaffold body is erected in a layered mode according to the fluctuation condition of the mountain body, if the mountain body of the plastic stone rockery is in a cliff type, the scaffold body is arranged on the ground outside the plastic stone rockery in a multi-row frame form according to the change condition of the mountain body; according to an inner bearing structure form of the plastic stone rockery, the spacing modulus of vertical rods of the outer scaffold body is determined; the external scaffold is started to be erected according to the determined erecting form of the scaffold body, the appearance of the scaffold body and the spacing modulus of the vertical rods of the scaffold body, connecting pipes are connected to the vertical rods of the scaffold body on the second layer or above, and the connecting pipes penetrate into the rockery surface of the plastic rockery and then are connected with the internal bearing structure of the plastic rockery through wall connecting pieces.
