The invention provides a flood prevention structure for hydraulic engineering and a rapid building method thereof. The flood prevention structure comprises a buffer box and a support, wherein the buffer box is a hollow box with an opening in one side, a strip-shaped water outlet is formed in the back face of the buffer box, the support is further connected to the back of the buffer box, a buffer unit is further arranged on the buffer box, the buffer unit is used for unloading water flow rushing into the buffer box, both ends of the buffer unit are respectively hinged to the buffer box and the support, and the buffer unit is arranged on the opening face of the buffer box. An assembly type installation method is adopted. The flood prevention structure aims to solve the problems that in the prior art, a common flood prevention structure cannot meet the resistance requirement, an emergency flood prevention structure cannot be rapidly built to face sudden flood, and manpower and material resources are seriously consumed. Thus, the flood prevention structure has a strong resistance structure and is quickly built to cope with emergencies, and the loss of manpower and material resources is reduced.
