The invention discloses a gravel pile composite foundation and a construction method thereof. The composite foundation comprises a foundation layer and a plurality of first pile holes formed in the top of the foundation layer, wherein three second pile holes distributed at equal intervals are formed in the periphery of each first pile hole, a connecting groove hole is formed between every two adjacent second pile holes, a fixing base pipe is inserted into each first pile hole, and arc-shaped fixing pieces distributed at equal intervals are welded to the outer wall of the periphery of each fixing base pipe. According to the composite foundation, three reinforcing base pipes are arranged outside each fixing base pipe, the fixing base pipes can be effectively fixed, the fixing base pipes are prevented from shifting in the construction process of a soft foundation, a fixing net and a plurality of limiting pieces are arranged in each fixing base pipe, the overall strength of the gravel piles can be effectively improved, fixing cones arranged at the bottoms of the fixing base pipes are matched with the reinforcing base pipes, the positions of the fixing base pipes can be limited, and inclination is prevented.
