The invention relates to an electronic key housing (1), which includes first and second half-shells (2, 3). Each half shell is provided with a connecting edge (20, 30). Connecting edges (20, 30) of the two half-shells (2, 3) are complementary to each other to keep the half-shells (2, 3) together according to a connecting surface (P). The housing (1) includes a member (4) for locking/unlocking the half-shells (2, 3) to each other and characterized in that the locking/unlocking member (4) is movably installed in a first half-shell (2) to have a predetermined stroke, thereby allowing to be engaged in the second half-shell (3) to hold the half-shells (2, 3) together with each other transverse to the connecting surface (P) in the locked position and to be disengaged from the second half-shell (3) to release the half-shells (2, 3) from each other and allow the above to separate in the unlocked position.
