The invention discloses a traffic control device for preventing the overspeed retrograde traveling of an overloaded vehicle, which comprises a fixed support, a bearing bracket and a limiting platform which are integrally connected, an intercepting assembly is arranged between the fixed support and the bearing bracket, and a warning assembly is arranged between the fixed support and the limiting platform. The fixed support and a bearing bracket which are of an integrated structure are placed on a traffic road, a strong spring is arranged on the bearing bracket to elastically support a lifting bearing plate and a driving rack, and a transmission shaft driven by the driving rack to rotate is arranged in the fixed support; a centrifugal rotating disc of a hollow structure is connected to the transmission shaft, and a telescopic rod movably pulled by a reset spring is arranged in a cavity, so that a pressurizing plate extends out under the conditions that a driving rack moves downwards and the transmission shaft rotates too fast, and the extending pressurizing plate is used for supporting a lifting table to rise; furthermore, an explosion-proof rivet penetrates through the lifting bearing plate through the guide through hole, so that tire breaking interception is carried out on the overspeed vehicle.
