The trash holding mesh comprises a support fixed in a water taking opening and provided with a lifting system, a fixed blocking mesh fixedly arranged on the support, and a movable blocking mesh moving up and down on the support through the lifting system; the fixed blocking mesh and the movable blocking mesh are arranged in an overlapped mode, a first grid is arranged in the fixed blocking mesh, a second grid is arranged in the movable blocking mesh, and drifting objects in the water flow in the water taking open channel are filtered by means of the fixed blocking mesh and the movable blocking mesh in sequence; by changing the position of the movable blocking mesh, the mesh diameter of the grid formed by overlapping the first grid and the second grid is changed; and according to a blocking mesh lifting and rapid laying device system, under the condition that foreign matter emergencies, rapid laying can be achieved through a vertical lifting opening and closing device, and the foreign matter is blocked rapidly. The trash holding mesh can adapt to different water flow and sewage working conditions, head loss is reduced, and the long-term operation cost of the nuclear power station is reduced.
