The light building curtain wall plate comprises surface layer units and light layer units, wherein the surface layer units and the light layer units are stacked at intervals, and the number of the surface layer units is one more than that of the light layer units; the light layer units are composite plates of hollow structures, and the composite plates of the hollow structures comprise bamboo-plastic composite plates or wood-plastic composite plates; and the surface layer units are flat plates of core-shell structures. The light layer units are made of composite materials of the hollow structures, the self weight of the building curtain wall plate is reduced, meanwhile, the buffering performance of the building curtain wall plate is remarkably enhanced, and the use safety is improved. According to the light building curtain wall plate and the preparation method thereof, the flat plates of the core-shell structures and the composite materials of the hollow structures are fused and bonded under the hot pressing condition, and the processing method is simple.
