The invention relates to a guardrail, in particular to a guardrail suitable for a municipal road and having a buffering protection function. The guardrail comprises fixed support frames, a slide rail plate, a buffer assembly, a buffer control assembly and the like; and the slide rail plate is jointly welded to the two fixed support frames, the buffer assembly is connected to the fixed support frames in a sliding mode, and the buffer control assembly is arranged on the buffer assembly. A guardrail frame swings to pull a first supporting frame and a device on the first supporting frame to move towards the collision position of a vehicle, the vehicle is further buffered, the out-of-control vehicle is prevented from directly rushing out of the guardrail, then the vehicle can be prevented from entering a reverse lane, and larger casualties are avoided.
