The invention provides a river channel desilting garbage cleaning device and method.The device comprises a ship body, a collecting box and a filtering mechanism, the filtering mechanism comprises two protection plates and a plurality of filtering claws fixed to the lower portions of the protection plates, auxiliary plates are arranged on the protection plates, movable grooves are formed in the inner sides of the protection plates, and auxiliary movable grooves are formed in the inner sides of the auxiliary plates. A cleaning mechanism is arranged between the two protection plates; the cleaning mechanism comprises a reciprocating type driving assembly, a movable seat connected with the reciprocating type driving assembly, a linear guide rail installed on the movable seat and a cleaning claw fixing seat installed on the linear guide rail, a plurality of cleaning claws are installed on the cleaning claw fixing seat side by side, and guide movable columns are arranged at the two ends of the cleaning claw fixing seat; and the guide movable columns are arranged in the movable grooves and are in sliding fit with the movable grooves. The device and the method can effectively clean the garbage in the sludge, prolong the service life of a suction pump, and further improve the sludge cleaning quality.
