The invention discloses a multi-stage lifting device with an ejector rod and a working method of the multi-stage lifting device. The multi-stage lifting device comprises a first-stage support, a second-stage support and an ejector rod assembly. The ejector rod assembly comprises at least one ejector rod, the ejector rod assembly is arranged on the first-stage support in a lifting mode, and the ejector rod assembly can be fixed relative to the first-stage support at one or more height positions of the lifting stroke of the ejector rod assembly. The ejector rods in the device can ascend and descend, so that construction fixing surfaces such as ceilings and the like are jacked, and the stability of the multi-stage lifting device is enhanced; after the stability of the multi-stage lifting device is enhanced, the anti-overturning performance can be greatly improved, the weight limitation on a construction working head on a lifting device can be reduced, so that the selection flexibility of the construction working head is improved; and in addition, due to the existence of the ejector rods, after the ejector rods abut against the fixing surfaces firmly, the multi-stage lifting device can provide a stable vertical reference, and even if the working head is located at the high construction height, the construction precision can be guaranteed through the multi-stage lifting device.
