The invention relates to a metering method for user water consumption of a circulating water supply system, which comprises the following steps: arranging a fluid meter between a water inlet pipe and a water return pipe, wherein the fluid meter comprises a water inlet metering pipe and a water return metering pipe, the water inlet metering pipe is arranged on the water inlet pipe, and the water return metering pipe is arranged on the water return pipe; respectively calculating a first propagation time difference and a second propagation time difference of the ultrasonic waves propagating in the water inlet metering pipe and the water return metering pipe; calculating a water inlet instantaneous flow rate and a water outlet and return instantaneous flow rate; and judging whether the water inlet instantaneous flow rate is smaller than the water return instantaneous flow rate or not, if yes, comparing the first error percentage with a first set value, if not, comparing the second error percentage with a second set value, if the second error percentage is larger than the second set value, metering, and otherwise, not metering. The metering accuracy of the water consumption of the user can be effectively improved.
