The invention discloses a retaining wall structure for constructional engineering and a construction method thereof. The retaining wall structure comprises a first mounting shell, a second mounting shell and a fixing shell, a second fixing rod is mounted at the top of the first mounting shell, the second mounting shell is mounted on the back face of the first mounting shell, and a protective shell is mounted at the bottom of the second mounting shell; a waterproof layer is mounted on the inner wall of the first mounting shell, a mounting groove is formed in the first mounting shell and located at the bottom of the waterproof layer, a fixing shell is mounted on the front face of the first mounting shell, buffer springs are symmetrically distributed and mounted on the front face of the fixing shell, and baffles are mounted on the front faces of the buffer springs. According to the retaining wall structure, connecting pieces are mounted on the front faces of the baffles, when the retaining wall structure is used for a long time and inclines, supporting rods are fixed into connecting holes to be used for supporting the inclined retaining wall structure, and the retaining wall structure is prevented from collapsing during use.
