The invention relates to an insertion type connecting structure of a steel frame column and a prefabricated partition wall and a mounting method of the insertion type connecting structure. The insertion type connecting structure comprises an external steel frame and the prefabricated partition wall, steel members are arranged at the ends of the prefabricated partition wall and connected with the external steel frame in an embedded mode, the external steel frame is provided with an insertion space used for embedding the steel members, and a filling material is arranged between the external steel frame and the steel members. Compared with the prior art, connection between the prefabricated partition wall and the steel frame can be conveniently and rapidly achieved, it can be guaranteed that the connected partition wall does not participate in stress of the steel frame, and meanwhile, normal work of the partition wall is guaranteed.
