The invention discloses a protection device for building construction. The protection device comprises a translation device, a personnel protection device, a rotating device and a hard object protection device which are mounted on a rack, and when a person accidentally falls in the building construction, a sensing camera on the translation device senses the falling direction of the person, a mechanical group in the translation device operates to drive the personnel protection device to adjust the position, and meanwhile, the mechanical group in the personnel protection device operates to quickly inflate a protection air cushion, so that casualties caused by falling of personnel are prevented; and when the device senses that the falling object is a hard object, the mechanical group in the rotating device operates to drive the hard object protection device to rotate to the position above the protection air cushion, and the mechanical group in the hard object protection device operates to adjust the falling position according to the falling position of the falling hard object.
