The invention discloses an installation method and an installation assembly of a large-span ceramic rod. The installation method comprises the following steps that S1, surveying and setting out are carried out; S2, a plurality of ceramic rods are connected through a main keel to form a ceramic rod group outside the field; S3, the tail end of the ceramic rod group is connected with a base through the main keel outside the site; and S4, an assembly part outside the site is transported to a specified installation position, and the ceramic rod group is connected with a main body steel beam bolt through the base. The installation assembly comprises a main keel and a T-shaped base, the main keel can be inserted into the ceramic rod, the T-shaped base can be inserted into the main keel, and the T-shaped base can be connected with a main body steel beam bolt. According to the installation method and the installation assembly of the large-span ceramic rod, splicing and installation of the large-span ceramic rod are facilitated.
