The invention provides a preparation method of a borosilicate glass coating on a graphite base material, which comprises the following steps: carrying out processing pretreatment on the surface of the graphite base material to prepare glass slurry, wherein the glass slurry comprises the following components: borosilicate glass powder, deionized water, a binder, a dispergator and a defoaming agent in a weight ratio of 100:(20-50):(0.01-5):(0.01-5):(0.01-5); coating the glass slurry on the surface of the graphite base material; carrying out drying treatment on the coated graphite base material; and sintering the treated graphite base material in vacuum or inert atmosphere protection or in a melting furnace, and cooling the material to form the borosilicate glass coating on the graphite base material. By means of the method, the properties and attributes such as surface hardness, corrosion resistance, high-temperature oxidation resistance, wear resistance, electrical insulation, light transmission, air tightness, vitreous appearance and hand feeling of the graphite base material can be effectively improved, the process is simple, and the production cost is low.
