The invention relates to a river water level surveying device, in particular to a river water level surveying device capable of automatically removing garbage, which comprises a bottom plate, a splitter plate, a buffer blocking assembly, an ascending positioning assembly and the like, wherein the top of the bottom plate is connected with a splitter plate, the buffer blocking assembly is arranged on the bottom plate, and the ascending positioning assembly is arranged on the splitter plate. The garbage in a river can be prevented and blocked through the movable push frame, the splitter plate and the lifting baffle; the movable pushing frame can push away garbage staying on one side of the splitter plate, excessive garbage is prevented from staying on one side of the splitter plate, and therefore the splitting effect of the splitter plate cannot be affected by the garbage; and thereby, the effect that the garbage in the river can be effectively discharged so as to ensure stable operation of the equipment is achieved.
