The invention relates to a formwork structure for a stand column and a construction method of the formwork structure. The formwork structure comprises supporting pieces fixedly arranged on the ground and arranged along the periphery of a reinforcement cage, wherein the supporting pieces have a set height; a plurality of first formworks which are fixed to the tops of the supporting pieces and surround the reinforcement cage; a sliding groove which is fixedly formed in the ground and is formed along the peripheral edge of the reinforcement cage; and second formworks which are arranged in the sliding grooves in a sliding mode and matched with the supporting pieces in height, wherein the second formworks and the first formwork define a pouring space, the second formworks are moved along the sliding grooves, an opening communicating with the pouring space is formed in the bottom of the reinforcement cage, and therefore the bottom of the reinforcement cage can be cleaned. The problem that garbage at the column bottom is difficult to clean is effectively solved, the column bottom can be cleaned by moving the formwork at the column bottom, time and labor are saved, the risk of root rotting of the column bottom is reduced, the construction quality can be guaranteed, and the influence on follow-up construction is reduced.
