The invention discloses a fixing method for an exterior wall insulation board. The fixing method comprises the following steps that 1, an exterior wall template is processed and concrete is poured in the main body construction stage; 2, the exterior wall template in the step 1 is removed, specifically, an exposed movable screw rod is taken out, and a plastic plug is installed at the end part of a three-section type water stop screw to plug the interior of the three-section type water stop screw; and 3, the exterior wall insulation board is mounted, specifically, the plastic plug in the step 2 is screwed out, the insulation board is fixed by using a positioning screw rod, namely, one end of the positioning screw rod is fixedly connected to the end part of the three-section type water stop screw, the other end of the positioning screw rod penetrates through the insulation board, a positioning disc is fixed to the positioning screw rod, and the positioning disc is in extrusion contact with the outer side surface of the insulation board. The fixing method has the advantages that construction is convenient, and the phenomena of falling-off and hollowing of the insulation board can be effectively avoided; and meanwhile, the exterior wall body structure adopts the three-section type water stop screw, so that exterior wall leakage can be effectively avoided, economic benefits are good, and popularization and use are convenient.
