The invention relates to a spacer 1 for multiple-pane insulating glazing, comprising a polymer main body 2, comprising two pane contact surfaces 3.1, 3.2 running parallel to one another; a glazing inner surface 4 and a base surface 5, the pane contact surfaces 3.1, 3.2 and the base surface 5 being connected to one another directly or via connecting faces 6.1, 6.2; and an insulating film 10, which has at least one metal or ceramic layer 12, 14 and is applied to the polymer main body 2, the insulating film 10 covering the base surface 5 and the two pane contact surfaces 3.1, 3.2 completely and the glazing inner surface 4 at least partially.
