The invention discloses a short-flow preparation method for graphite, and relates to the technical field of graphite preparation. The invention aims to solve the problems of a relatively long graphite preparation process and high energy consumption. The method comprises the following steps: grinding raw materials: respectively grinding calcined petroleum coke and asphalt sheets into fine powder, and conducting screening; briquetting: preparing fine powder of the calcined petroleum coke and fine powder of the asphalt sheets according to a certain ratio according to a size fraction, conducting full and even mixing and performing briquetting; roasting-dipping: roasting a molded green body obtained after briquetting under the condition of isolating air, performing cooling to a certain temperature after roasting is finished, and directly dipping a roasted product in asphalt liquid; and graphitization: carrying out graphitization treatment on the dipped product. According to the preparation method, the traditional working procedures of kneading, flaking, secondary grinding, waste heat treatment before dipping, roasting after dipping and the like are omitted, so production efficiency is improved and energy consumption is reduced; and the prepared product still has excellent performance by optimizing the particle size composition of raw materials, roasting and a graphite heating curve.
