The method comprises the steps of setting FRP composite spiral stirrups, longitudinal bars and concrete; solving the problem of corrosion of ocean engineering structure ribs through the protruding corrosion resistance of the FRP ribs, where the FRP composite spiral stirrup comprises the inner FRP spiral stirrup and the outer FRP square stirrup, effective transverse stress transmission is established through effective binding between the stirrups, the mechanical property of the FRP ribs can be fully exerted, double constraint is provided for the core concrete, and the peak stress of the core concrete is greatly improved; analyzing constraint mechanisms of the FRP composite spiral stirrups on concrete in different areas, and proposing a constraint model and a bearing capacity calculation method of the FRP composite spiral stirrup confined concrete column; and after an accurate bearing capacity calculation method is obtained, providing the design method of the FRP composite spiral stirrup confined concrete column.
