The preparation method comprises the steps of sintering and pre-synthesizing tantalum pentoxide, niobium pentoxide and potassium carbonate to obtain a polycrystal material, and crushing and grinding the polycrystal material, then adding a binder to perform wax frying granulation, and then sequentially performing dry pressing to obtain a sheet, heating to remove glue, and sintering into ceramic to obtain the potassium tantalate niobate ceramic chip, wherein excessive potassium carbonate is added, the sintering pre-synthesis temperature is 700-800 DEG C, and the sintering process of sintering into ceramic is carried out according to a set temperature program. The potassium tantalate niobate ceramic chip prepared by the method is relatively high in purity, good in crystallization, relatively large in size and relatively high in dielectric constant, and the dielectric constant can be adjusted according to requirements.
