The invention relates to the related field of hardware door stopper structures and discloses a gravity type door closer. The gravity type door closer comprises a door body and a wall body, wherein a driving bevel gear used for opening and closing the door body is fixedly installed on one side of the top end of the door body, and one end of the driving bevel gear is movably installed on the wall body; a driven bevel gear engaged with the driving bevel gear is movably installed on one side of the wall body, and a fixed wire clamping disc is fixedly installed at one end of the driven bevel gear. The weight increasing body is arranged in the wall body and is pulled to move up and down through the pulling rope, so when the door body is opened, the weight increasing body is lifted in a labor-saving manner in a movable pulley manner through rolling of the fixed wire clamping disc, and further, when the weight increasing body falls down, the door needs to be closed, gravity of the weight increasing body can be completely injected to the driven bevel gear through the adjusting gear, so the driven bevel gear rotates to close the door body, and finally purposes of labor-saving opening and self-gravity door closing are achieved.
