The invention discloses environment-friendly colored silt and a preparation method thereof. The environment-friendly colored silt is prepared from, by weight, 20-30 parts of flour, 48-55 parts of sand, 3-4 parts of salt, 3-4 parts of oil, 0.5-2 parts of toner, 20-30 parts of water and 8.3-9.3 parts of calcium chloride. The preparation method comprises the steps of uniformly stirring and mixing the flour, the salt, the toner and a preservative according to the set proportion, preparing colored mud, and then adding sand into the colored mud, uniformly stirring and mixing, and cooling to obtain a colored silt finished product. The environment-friendly colored silt has high strength, is not easy to crack after being made into a product, can enable the product to have a sand sculpture effect, is environment-friendly and healthy, and does not cause harm to a human body.
