The invention discloses a construction method for carrying beams on a bridge by a beam transporting vehicle. The construction method comprises the following steps that (1) a beam transporting channel leading to a newly-built bridge from a beam manufacturing field is constructed, and the beam transporting channel comprises a first upslope section, a U-turn section platform and a second upslope section which are sequentially arranged; (2) in the beam manufacturing field, a prefabricated box beam is hoisted to the beam transporting vehicle to be fixed; and (3) the beam transporting vehicle is driven to climb to the U-turn section platform through the first upslope section. The beam transporting vehicle is provided with a front vehicle head and a rear vehicle head, and the other vehicle head is started to drive the beam transporting vehicle to climb to the newly-built bridge through the second upslope section. The construction method has the advantages that the construction method is simple and convenient, climbing of a large-gradient slope is achieved through the combination of the upslope sections and the combination of a hydraulic jacking oil cylinder set and the pull-up system, the cost for renting equipment such as a beam lifter is saved, and the construction cost is reduced.
