The invention relates to the technical field of building construction, in particular to a sliding thin-wall retaining wall and a construction method. The method comprises the following steps that firstly, the position of a working foundation pit is reasonably selected according to the length of a sliding thin-wall retaining wall and site conditions; secondly, a working foundation pit is excavated, and a foundation pit back plate is built; thirdly, a foundation pit sliding plate is laid at the bottom of the working foundation pit; fourthly, a horizontal wall body of the prefabricated sliding thin-wall retaining wall is arranged on the foundation pit sliding plate, and a vertical wall body of the sliding thin-wall retaining wall is tightly attached to the existing building foundation; and fifthly, by means of the foundation pit back plate, a jack is driven by a high-pressure oil pump to jack the sliding thin-wall retaining wall to the designated position. The sliding thin-wall retaining wall is small in occupied area demolition, small in interference to existing houses and light and handy, and the thin-wall retaining wall can bear work such as basement exterior walls after construction is completed. Waste projects are reduced, and the construction cost is reduced.
